What to Expect…

First of all, we’re glad you’re considering a visit to High Street Nazarene!  We know that it can be a little intimidating to walk into a church for the first time – whether you’ve been to others or this is the first time anywhere.  So to ease your mind and to help you know what you’ll experience we thought we’d give you a little overview of what you can expect when you come to check out a service.

Service Times:
Sunday School: Begins at 9:00am and goes until 10:00am.  There are classes for all ages from birth all the way up.  If you have children, after checking your child in at the Check In Desk (see below) there will be clear directions so you will know where your child’s class is located.

Worship Service: Begins at 10:15am.  For the best experience, you might want to come a few minutes early, especially if you have children.

What to Wear:
Wear whatever makes you comfortable: You’ll see some people in jeans and t-shirts and others in business casual clothing and you may even see someone wearing a suit.  It’s not important to us what you wear, it’s just important that you know we care about you!

What About My Kids:
We have great kids programs for children.  When you arrive, there will be friendly greeters to meet you at the door and help direct you to the right place to check your kids in.  We value the safety of your kids, so when you check them in we’ll give you all the information you need, and a secure pick up procedure.  We have great teachers that love kids and do a wonderful job!  To learn more about our ministry to children, click here.

Children’s Check In:
For the safety of your children, infants – 5th grade need to check in at the Check In Desk.  First-time guests will have a little paperwork to fill out, but after that, you will just provide your child’s name to get checked in.  The child, and person who is checking them in, will receive sticky tags with matching numbers.  The child wears their tag while the adult must keep their tag in a safe place.  When it is time to pick up your child, the adult must have the matching tag number before the child will be released from the classroom.  Kids 6th through 12th grade are encourage to worship with the adults in the Worship Center.

Enjoy the Service:
The service lasts about 60 minutes.  The overall feel of the service is high-energy, casual, and encouraging.

Relax and Be Our Guest:
During our services you’ll never be singled out as a visitor.  The only thing you’ll be encouraged to do is fill out a Connection Card to we know you were with us.  We use this information to pray for you and send you a gift expressing our appreciation for your visit.  If you have any questions, you can take the time to come visit the Information Desk afterwards so we can get to know you a little better.
